Public Information Release
The Town of Geneva Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the residents of the Town of Geneva for their tremendous support and assistance during the ongoing storm cleanup efforts. Your patience, cooperation, and willingness to help your neighbors have been instrumental as our community continues its recovery.
On July 4th, under the direction of the Town Chairman and Walworth County Emergency Management, the Chief of Police, Anthony Miceli, enacted a Municipal Disaster Declaration pursuant to Wisconsin Statute § 323.11. This declaration allows the Town to continue coordinating emergency response and recovery efforts in support of our community.
The Town of Geneva Police Department remains committed to working alongside our community, utility providers, public works personnel, emergency management officials, and our assisting public safety partners to support disaster relief operations. At the same time, the Department will continue enhanced patrol efforts throughout the Town to help ensure the safety and security of our residents and property during the recovery process.
Later today, a joint agency press release will be issued containing information regarding a Disaster Relief Center that will be available to assist Walworth County residents with questions, resources, and ongoing recovery needs.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution when seeking storm cleanup and restoration services. Please work only with licensed and insured contractors and be vigilant of individuals or businesses offering unsolicited repair services.
The Town of Geneva Police Department encourages residents to continue monitoring this page for a trusted source of information and official updates.
We thank everyone for their continued cooperation and resilience as we work together to recover from this storm.
