At approximately 11:52AM on March 3rd, 2026, an email account belonging to the Town of Geneva was compromised and used to propagate a phishing scheme that is currently targeting multiple email systems statewide. The Town’s IT support was contacted, and the compromised account was secured at 3:02PM on the same day. It is important to note that the email systems and servers are not housed at the Town location and the affected systems have been scanned aggressively for any infections.
